State of emergency declared in New York State over spread of monkeypox

On Friday July 29, the New York State Governor Kathy Hochulannounced the start of the state of emergency in front of the increase in the number of cases of monkeypox. She explained that this state of emergency would be in effect until August 28.

The situation in New York State

According to the executive order announced by the Governor, 1,383 cases monkeypox were reported as of July 29, 2022 in New York State.
